- (5/3/1880 Geneva-5/11/1950 Paris) (France); aka pseudonym Lobel-Riche, AlmeryIllustrator, etcher, painter. Known as a belle epoque artist, a war artist in World War I, and a prolific illustrator. Studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montpelier and in Paris. Early in his career he provided drawings to the paper "Le Rire." By the early 1930s he was quite successful, collaborating with major writers.
